When we are in a healing crisis, there usually is a nagging, and sometimes debilitating companion, we could well do without – energy sapping Anxiety. Anxiety shuts down so much of our natural healing powers, so it is important to let our anxieties drift off into the nothingness from whence they came.
How do we do that?
Connect with your inner being, your inner awareness and conscious presence, and become the observer of your mind. It takes time to create this connection, but it is well worth it. Meditation is one of the best ways to achieve this.
Whether we are trying to heal our bodies or our relationships, this connection is essential for long term wellbeing. When we have that connection, we heal the delicate balance between our mind, body and soul (or in more logical terms, brain, stomach and heart).
To put it simple, there is a need to create an inner alert body awareness and an acute observing presence and clarity, so that – the mind is clear enough to make better choices – the body remains calm enough to give you a better chance to heal – the soul or inner being becomes a major part of your focus and consciousness and gives you the opportunity to be present and clearly see the impermanence and fragility of life, which in turn manifests inner peace – with inner peace the rest will follow.
Here are two examples to help give you a better understanding.
The first is about the horrible experience I had trying to eradicate a nasty stomach bacteria, Helicobacter Pylori. The second is an experience I had with a very sick lady at Singapore Airport.
I hope these two examples give you a better and clearer understanding of the holistic approach to healing. The win-win benefits that come from raising your level of consciousness and awareness and gaining inner peace, is that you not only have greater chance of healing physically but you enrich your life with the wondrous healing power of love, which you can then compassionately share with everyone in your life.
The world needs that love.
